Description: Sound (English), b&w, 27 min. At Chateauroux, France, work is progressing on the expansion of one of the large military airfields that serve NATO throughout Western Europe. French and American engineers press on with the work despite foul weather. Air Force Lt. General Lauris Norstad, Commander-in-Chief, Allied Forces Europe, expresses his satisfaction. So does the Châteauroux mayor, playing down the "US Go Home" slogans that Communist sympathizers have plastered all over town. Produced by the MSA Film Section, Paris, for MSA Washington.
