R2: Irrigation canals, trench-digging machine in operation; large peat bog area, men cutting small strips of peat by hand, small Irish cottage, packing peat moss for export, giant machines digging, cutting, and laying out peat for drying, workers picking up the dried peat and tossing it into railroad cars, loaded cars moving into peat-burning power station, power lines from station carrying power to farms and homes, construction of new power lines and factories. Digging limestone in a quarry, machines crushing limestone and other machines spreading it on farms; wheat farming; domestic farming of geese, pigs, and chickens; dairy herds; stock yards; city of Dublin; ocean and coastline. 1950.
