The film shows the manufacture of skis from hickory wood imported from America under the Marshall Plan, which allowed Norwegian citizens to indulge in a favorite pastime and the ski-troops of the Norwegian army, a new member of the Atlantic Pact, to be properly equipped for winter maneuvers. Also describes the beautiful country around Oslo where the downhill races, slalom, and ski-jumping competitions are held. 1951. Produced by Dick Durrance Productions, Oslo, for ECA Norway.
