Description: Sound (English?), Technicolor, 10 min (18 min?). At an Italian shipyard revived with funds from the Rome government and Marshall Plan aid, a new ship takes shape. As the workers and craftsmen go through each phase of construction, the viewer is drawn into the exhilaration of building a ship from its inception. Coverage is detailed and well-filmed. Directed by Ubaldo Magnagli, camera work by Cyril Knowles, narrated by Frank Gervasi, music composed and conducted by G. Pomerant, with the Symphony Orchestra of St. Cecilia. Produced by Documento Film, Rome, for ECA Italy. NB(1): Film seems complete at 10+ min. However, Albert Hemsing described it in his 1994 memoir/filmography as 18 min. NB(2): Although not mentioned in any known catalogue of MP films, it was included in a NATO list of Jan. 1972 as a supposed Marshall Plan film.
