Sound (Turkish), b&w, 20 (?) min. As part of Turkey’s recovery program, a government official convinces farmers in a small Turkish village to take advantage of mechanized equipment available through the Marshall Plan. A tractor arrives; after being used for weeks without servicing, it stops and won’t start again. However, one youth has learned to service mechanized equipment in a school provided by the recovery program and is able to repair and service it. The village sees the value of good equipment and proper maintenance and hires a combine to harvest the wheat. Made in London by Clarke and Hornby Productions for ECA Turkey.
